I’m sorry I’m having a hiatus from blogging right now. But I promise it will be up after the New Year. It needs a few tweaks here and there and a whole lot of rediscovery and resolutions.
So til then, Happy New Year!
Ring it in with good cheer and happiness. Live in the moment and try not to dwell on your regrets. The New Year won’t magically give you a clean slate, but you can sure as hell try to change whatever it is you need to and make resolutions so that you have something to work for, or keep what you have that’s going good for you. It’s just about giving hope that yes, you can in fact get out of your rut and become a better person, or wish for better things and try, at least try to have a fresh new start. It’s for beginnings and no endings, and to learn to become more optimistic about life and look toward the future. As sappy as it may sound, the New Year is great for having faith and believing that everything that is to come, will be awesome.
Every New Year, I celebrate it with a family dinner, followed by a night on the town (actually, at my favorite restaurant, Souled Out) to ring it and watch the fireworks at midnight, along with the consumption of my favorite beverages, people & great 80s music, just dancing and drinking the night away. This year will be a quieter New Year (given that I’m not in KL aka party central) but nevertheless still a great New Year. Sometimes you just need to be away to realize what you truly miss. Or there. But I’m excited for 2009 because I feel it can provoke change and I think I’ve already taken that small step that I needed.
Maybe it’s because I’m 20?
Haha.
